“But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world.” -1 Timothy 6:6-7
Joyous Lives. Precious Loves. Scrumptious Foods
The primacy of my daily experiences has brought me to this place of My Simple Christianity (MSC). Building on the premise of the Apostle Paul’s words to Timothy, I know that living my current spiritual life is imperative for longevity intertwined with peace, minimalism, and right relationships. Living my truth in the dimensions of Conservative Christian Quakerism and Messianic teachings, I understand more why as I progress through the aging process, my daily inward experiences, must offer a pure form of Christianity. The combination of these spiritual practices, I do not consider to be abstract propositions, but instead, offer me the intellectual prowess of choices as I grow within the practicality of Trinity; God as Head, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. This I know to be the full nature of my Heavenly Father.
I am honored too, that my own personal interpretations and acceptance of Jesus Christ, who is my Inner Light, continue to guide my decisions. Though I know Jesus to not be a judgmental being, the teachings of God’s words is the pathway I walk, with His Inner Light to lead me. I am also cognizant that there may be boulders to block me, pebbles that stumble me, and some darkness to blind me; yet still, I know the Inner Light remains.
“… ‘here you will see your Teacher not removed into a corner, but present when you are upon your beds and about your labour, convincing, instructing, leading, correcting, judging, and giving peace to all that love and follow Him.” (Francis Howgill, ‘Lamentation for the Scattered Tribes’, 1656)
My teacher, my Father, is indeed always with me. He is always with you too!
So here, as I continue to build this special space, I offer many examples of how I embrace His simple presence every day. I am actively hopeful that you will find my sharings to be useful to you, your family, and friends.
In grace & in gratitude,
His loving daughter,
Charlotte
